Pre-Minolta Pretty much Canon from 1987-2004, a good 17 years Why the move? PART 1 Well, it started with the launch of the Canon 20D ... I have 2x Canon D30s, mainly for capturing Roe Deer images and some macro work. When the Canon 20D launched the price of the 10D dropped - big time. Stores were trying to shift the last few units. I saw this as my only chance to get any cash back on my D30s (bought for £500 reconditioned, and £400 used), sure was I get £400 back on each. Very well timed. But, in the midst of this was the other reason I was going to dump the D30s, I was also going to sell my Canon 200/2.8 L II and get a 300/4 IS. (the IS is the clue here!) Why the move? PART 2 Then, I happened across a photo of the KonicaMinolta Dynax 7D in a magazine review. It reminded me of that day in 1998 when I first saw the Dynax 9 and wished I could jump ship to Minolta (pre-eBay days!). Got me thinking ... Mmm, I was about to sell my 2x D30s and my 200/2.8 L II. I'd also decided that my flash days were never going to happen so I would sell the ST-E2, 550EX, and 420EX. That would run my Canon gear down to a 24/2.8, a 50/1.8, and a Sigma 50/2.8 macro. So I was already about to sell the main investment I had in the Canon system. I had to go and see the KonicaMinolta Dynax 7D for myself. Five Minutes, hands on Probably not even as long as five minutes, I didn't even mount a lens. I just saw the layout of the camera, turned it on, saw that big screen, saw the spot meter button and the MF/AF toggle - had a gauge of the durability of the body material. And that was it. 17 years of Canon was over for me, I didn't take another shot. What Next? Got home, got the compact out, and photographed all my Canon kit and popped it all on eBay. How de do dat? Without eBay it simply could not have been done. I would not have been able to take the financial hit of trading my kit with a camera shop, I guess I could have gone commission sale, but eBay is generally a lot more fun and gets a better return. Regrets? No.. Until one day i found the news told me that Minolta is going to sell their Camera division to Sony and stop all the production...And then? I'm start to blaming my self for being such a fool to change system before.. the 7D glory only can stand for a year, now i must sell all my Monilta equipment to change back to Canon again... i'm broke now... *sigh*

Until one day i found the news told me that Minolta is going to sell their Camera division to Sony and stop all the production... And then? I'm start to blaming my self for being such a fool to change system before.. the 7D glory only can stand for a year, now i must sell all my Monilta equipment to change back to Canon again... i'm broke now... *sigh* paragraf diatas gak ada di web aslinya... nge-quote, tapi nambah²in... gak boleh lah..

Why I am a Minoltian ..... Because .... Good things come "Only from the mind of Minolta" Then .... They only produce "The Essential of Imaging" Now .... Simply because it's "Like.No.Other" :D BTW menambahkan informasi yang tidak benar dari kutipan orang, itu bisa termasuk dalam kategori pencemaran nama baik. Termasuk tindak kriminal lho .... :D
