nIn my secret garden the grass is green and lush
n
nAnd the leaves of the shrubs shine just like emerald
n
nAnd every flush-dawn, when the sun wakes with a blush,
n
nSunshine arrives, with sweet songs that the birds herald.
n

nIn my secret garden red and pink roses bloom
n
nAnd blood red is the colour of camellias.
n
nThe lilac blossoms spread their sweet scent of perfume,
n
nWhile sunflower-like sway colourful dahlias.
n

n
n
nA placid brook runs into a calm azure lake,
n
nOn its mirror surface white fleecy clouds reflect.
n
nBy its shore, on green grass, I like to lie awake,
n
nWatching ripples that wings of dragonflies effect.
n

n
n
nIn my garden raindrops fall from azure blue sky
n
nAnd on the blades of grass like pearl drops hang the dew,
n
nEvery leaf, every bloom is there to testify
n
nOf a Power that gives birth and lets all renew.
n

nIn my secret garden I blossom, come alive,
n
nThe grass feels soft, like velvet, underneath my sole;
n
nInside my secret garden my soul can revive…
n
n…My secret garden is… inside my heart and soul…
n

nWhen I pass and offer my soul to my Maker
n
nI’ll ask to scatter my ashes to feed the lawn,
n
nAllow only a white swan as a partaker
n
nGently to glide across the lake at every dawn;
n
n
n

n
nLet my garden remain a home for birds and flowers,
n
nLet white swans gather on the banks of placid stream,
n
nLet mellow bell ring out the passing hours
n
nAnd let me dream the dreams I was meant to dream.
