nView of Mount Abang and the caldera of Batur Volcano at its back that is taken from the top of Agung Volcano (2800m above the sea level). Probably this is the rarest photo colection in our Gallery. The edge of the caldera on the left is Panelokan village, the place where tourist use to view the Batur Lake and child of Batur Volcano.

nAccording to ancient Balinese bible, Mount Batur is actually one of the highest Volcano, which may be more than twice of the Agung Volcano. You can see the size the caldera, more than 10km accross which is stretching from Singaraja to Bangli. Just imagine, at the time when the tip of Batur Volcano is not chopped by her own eruption, that how tall this volcano is.

nProbably, Batur Volcano is the root of Bali Island. May be that the reason why Batur Volcano is considered as the mother of Bali.
