I have no story about this londok (Sundanese). I don’t have any idea when it was born, what day and date. I saw it on the Marancar Forest. I just pressed the shutter release button once, he jumped on to the shrubs and disappeared among the leaves. This picture was taken in Manual mode but unfortunately, it is the only shot I had taken. Bronchocela jubata (Duméril & Bibron, 1837). Reptiles that belong to the tribe (familia) Agamidae in other language, known as Bunglon (Java), Londok (Sundanese), or green crested lizards (English). Many people interpret that chameleons change the color of its skin as camouflage or response to enemies and hazards. In fact, it is not actually the case. Chameleon can not be changed to any color skin, but only to certain colors. It has cells beneath the surface of its transparent skin. Below this layer there are two layers of cells containing pigment red and yellow (also called chromatophores), underneath there are more cell layers that reflect blue and white. Then underneath there is melanin layer to brown (as human beings). (from various sources)
