Sudah bisa diduga bahwa kejadian bencana tsunami Desember lalu akan menjadi sentral lomba foto jurnalistik internasional World Press Photo 2005 ini. Namun sayangnya, foto tsunami yang menang bukanlah berasal dari Indonesia melainkan dari India. Selain itu, tak ada fotografer Indonesia yang meraih penghargaan. ironis memang, banyak fotografer indonesia yang terjun ke lapangan, malahan kemarin saya melihat ada yg sudah mengeluarkan buku "samudera air mata"(ocean of tears) oleh fotografer Indonesia,lengkap dengan foto dan tulisan seputar Tsunami...dengan harga yang lumayan berat utk mahasiswa seperti saya.... pertanyaan saya bang Arbain, kenapa foto2 hasil jepretan anak negeri kurang mendapat tempat dihati penikmat foto dunia??? apakah kualitas fotonya??kualitas berita dan ulasan2nya?? atau memang fotografer indonesia kurang berperan serta dalam ajang fotografi dunia???
